Nanjing Museum of Paleontology

On March 7th. On morning. I go to Nanjing Museum of Paleontology with my friend : Bethany and Rena. Nanjing Museum of Paleontology was in No. 39 Beijing Dong Lu, right next to Jiming Temple. We very excited to go to there.
The Nanjing Museum of Paleontology contains a collection of prehistoric fossils from around China. One of their most prized possessions is the world’s oldest fossil flower while their most awe-inspiring item is a fossilized Mamenchisaurus skeleton. Mamenchisaurus is reported to have the longest neck of any land animal that has ever lived. But my favorite things were dinosaur skeletons.

I choose Nanjing Museum of Paleontology, because it has long history and it has a lot of amazing things such as: Dinosaur, reptiles, different kind of fish …… But I like Dinosaur skeletons most. It is very interesting. Paleontologists know plenty about the demise of the dinosaurs. But the cause of dinosaur's becoming extinct remains a mystery. Most scientists believe that dinosaurs went extinct about 50 to 65 million years ago. Most scientists agree that man’s conception of dinosaurs has been limited to the past 180 years or so (the word itself wasn’t even coined until 1841). Therefore, if we discovered evidence of man’s knowledge of (or coexistence with) dinosaurs during the last couple of centuries, “science” (as we know it) would be turned upside down.

I think Nanjing Museum of Paleontology is very interesting. We were very enjoying it. This museum introduces a lot of different kinds of fish, plants, dinosaurs…… Introduce many things we do not know. We also find many interesting things in Nanjing Museum of Paleontology. It is very amazing. You may as well visit.
